SPICE ISLAND OF ZANZIBAR
Most prominent of the Spice Islands, Zanzibar has a potent mix
of history, legends and unique cultures. Visually stunning
with exceptional natural beaches and the haunting architecture
of Zanzibar town, the island has lured travelers to its shores
for centuries. Its past was dominated by merchants, rulers,
explorers, scholars - today tourism is playing a key role.
Zanzibar provides the perfect compliment to an East African
safari.
Zanzibar is famous for being a major producer of cloves, and
infamous as being a slave entry-port, the old stone town of
Zanzibar has a fascinating labyrinth of narrow winding streets
lined with whitewashed, coral-rag houses with overhanging
balconies and magnificently carved brass studded doors, shops,
bazaars, mosques, courtyards, squares etc. Outside town there
are more ruined palaces, Shirazi remains, Persian baths, and
magnificent palm fringed beaches with warm clear water, ideal
for swimming and snorkelling.

Day 1: Nairobi/Arusha - Zanzibar
Fly to Zanzibar Airport on the Spice Island of Zanzibar. Met
and assisted. Transfer to your beach resort booked on half
board accommodation, Ocean Paradise Beach Resort or Breezes
Beach Club & Spa, D.
Optional: You may opt to
stay in Stone Town at Zanzibar Serena Inn but doesn't have a
beach frontage. However, guests are provided with daily trips
to Mangapwani for beach activities. Zanzibar Serena Inn has
very nice rooms, good location and the service is amazing and
most importantly located in the cultural Stone Town of
Zanzibar allowing guests to experience the Zanzibari cultural
town stay.
Day 2 & 3: Zanzibar
Two nights of half board accommodation with leisure and
private beach at Ocean Paradise Beach Resort or Breezes Beach
Club & Spa, B,D.
Day 4: Zanzibar - Nairobi
Transfer to the airport for your flight to Nairobi (either
morning or afternoon dependent on your departure flight
schedule). There is a departure tax of $25 per person payable
in cash. Connect with your flight home, B.
